Job Summary
Provide personal care and health teaching under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to meet patient and family needs. Observe and practice sterile technique, maintain asepsis, and anticipate the surgeon's needs to actively participate in patient care and safety. Utilize operating room supplies conservatively while operating as a team member of the OR staff at Wilson Place Operating Room. Requires NYS Surgical Technologist Certification Law compliance, CPR certification within three months, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Meets the NYS Surgical Technologist Certification Law
- Completed a Surgical Technologist program in the Armed Forces
- Completed a nationally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist with a nationally accredited Surgical Technologist credential
- CPR Certification within 3 months of hire
