Job Summary
Prepare and maintain the operating room environment while assisting with peri-operative patient care. Work closely with surgeons and nurses to ensure smooth, efficient OR function, applying strong sterile techniques in a fast-paced setting. Support the surgical technologist career ladder at Brigham and Women's Hospital, a premier teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program
- Current Surgical Technologist Certification within one year from the date of graduation from a surgical technologist program
- Employment as a surgical technologist in a surgical facility on or before July 1st, 2013
- Successful completion of a training program for surgical technology in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard of the United States
- Successful completion of a training program for surgical technology in the United States Public Health Service
Desired Qualifications
- At least 1 year experience as Surgical Technologist in an Operating Room or Ambulatory Surgery
