Job Summary
Operating Room RN for Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) seeking a PRN per diem shift schedule (6:30A-3:00P, M-F; two days per week, 1 Monday and 1 Friday per 6 weeks). Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing in the OR across ophthalmology, ortho, pain management, podiatry, urology, and occasional pediatric cases. Requires 2 years of OR experience; RN licensure in the appropriate state; ACLS/PALS preferred. Education requirements include high school diploma or GED and an associate degree (required); bachelor’s degree preferred. Located in Forsyth County, NC (Kernersville ASC). Center operates with no set schedule, holidays/weekends closed, and occasional late day if a case runs over. Proficiency in prioritizing and organizing unit workload, adapting care to age-specific needs, and strong telephone screening/interviewing skills are needed.
Required Qualifications
- Two years operating room experience
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state
- ACLS and PALS (preferred)
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; 2 Year/Associate Degree; 4 Year/Bachelors preferred
- Ability to circulate and scrub in operating room
- Proficient with age-specific patient care
- Ability to set priorities and manage workload
- Telephone screening and interviewing skills
