Job Summary
Operating Room Registered Nurse – inpatient unit at Denver Health with a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. Under general supervision, provides care in a high-acuity OR setting across diverse surgical services (general, trauma, spine, bariatric, ENT, GU/GYN, plastics/hand, gender affirmation, pediatrics, ophthalmology, orthopedics, oncology, vascular). Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, maintaining detailed reports, monitoring vital signs, modifying care plans, preparing patients for examinations/treatments, coordinating with the health care team, patient education on health and disease prevention, and supervising less skilled staff. Requires Associate's Degree, 1 year OR experience or Periop 101, BLS, ACLS; CNOR preferred; EPIC documentation experience; shift varies; benefits package described in posting.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree Required
- 1 year of OR experience or completion of Periop 101 Required
- BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA/American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support - Required
- CNOR - Certified Nurse Operating Room - Preferred
- RN - Registered Nurse - DORA required
