Operating Room - Purchasing Agent - Main OR - Full Time Days

Purchase surgical supplies, replacement instruments, and consignment inventory; serve as a resource for product/equipment information to surgical staff and physicians; facilitate cost savings efforts. Complete supply requisitions and assist in setting up purchase orders; coordinate consignment inventory with vendors; coordinate requests for special orders from surgery staff and physicians; review doctor orders for special orders; coordinate equipment repairs and loans with the Bio Medical Department; assist with care and maintenance of equipment and supplies; act as a resource to surgery staff on purchasing procedures, product information, and contract compliance; review operating room schedules for items not carried in-house; communicate back orders and provide release dates; maintain good vendor relationships and confidentiality of prices/terms; assist in quotation requests and contract reviews; maintain tissue policies and logs.
