Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse

Serve as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures, preparing operating rooms with necessary equipment, instruments, and medications. Verify patient identity, consent forms, and documentation before surgery, then coordinate patient positioning, skin preparation, and intraoperative safety measures. Maintain a sterile environment, monitor patient status throughout procedures, and communicate changes to the surgeon and anesthesia provider. Document all perioperative care accurately within the electronic medical record and collaborate with clinical staff to promote efficient workflow. Assist with room turnover, equipment checks, and supply management while participating in quality improvement initiatives. Provide support in Pre-Op and PACU as needed based on patient volume.
