Job Summary
Operating Room Attendant provides patient transport to the pre-op holding area, cleans operating room suites between procedures, supports anesthesia staff by stocking supplies and cleaning anesthesia machines, transports anesthesia machines and carts, transports specimens to the lab, ensures proper stocking of formalin containers, assists in positioning surgical patients, and prepares the OR by opening sterile supplies and ensuring equipment is available for procedures. Weekend Days shift (Friday–Sunday 7a–7p) at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA. Requires HSD/GED and BLS within 90 days of hire; prior Environmental Services or operating room experience preferred.
