Job Summary
Operates as an OR nurse (RN) in UCHealth Cherry Creek Medical Center, Denver, performing circulating and scrub functions before, during, and after surgery. Responsibilities include preparing the operating environment, reviewing medical records and surgeon notes, ensuring safety checklists, monitoring patient condition and sterile field, handling instruments, performing surgical counts, and delivering direct patient care in a fast-paced surgical setting while adhering to standards and policies. Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and on-site daytime schedule. On-site role with no remote options; minimum 6 months OR nursing experience preferred; BSN/CNOR as applicable preferences.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited/state board nursing program; RN licensure in the state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification; CPR as required; valid through start date
- Minimum 6 months OR nursing experience or completion of UCHealth Fellowship program
- Preferred: BSN
- Preferred: CNOR
- BLS card valid through sixty days after hire
