Job Summary
Operating Room First Assistant supports surgeons during procedures, positioning patients, assisting with surgery, wound closure and dressing, and coordinating with the OR team to maintain high-quality patient care and smooth procedure flow. The role requires CRNFA and an active CT RN license, plus a minimum of three years of operating room nursing first assist experience. The candidate should have an Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred) and must obtain ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications within specified timeframes. Excellent communication, teamwork, and ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment are essential. Required Qualifications
- Active CT Registered Nurse license
- Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA)
- Associate Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of start date
- Minimum three years of recent operating room nursing first assist experience
