Job Summary
Assists surgeons with surgery, wound closure and dressing; facilitates patient and procedure flow through the OR and ensures high-quality patient care on a day-to-day basis. Performs surgical tasks including site exposure, graft harvesting, tissue dissection and closure, ensuring hemostasis and proper dressing, and supports postoperative care with drainage management and wound care. Requires active CT RN license and CRNFA certification; expected to obtain ACLS, BCLS, and PALS within specified timeframes. Collaborative, team-oriented perioperative nurse first assistant capable of positioning, prepping, and draping patients and ensuring patient safety throughout operative procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Active CT Registered Connecticut Nurse license
- Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) required
- Associate Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date
- PALS Pediatric Life Support within 90 days of start date
