Operating Room Coordinator RN / Procedural Service Line

Job Summary
Coordinate daily operations, staffing, and case flow for assigned service line surgeons while managing inventory, instruments, and supplies. Actively assist in education efforts, ensure nursing quality measures are achieved, and proactively communicate schedules and updates to surgeons, vendors, and leadership. Function as the primary communications link to physicians, office personnel, nursing staff, allied healthcare professionals, and patients. Maintain quality standards for responsive service, professional documentation, and accurate policies. Support the Nurse Manager with administrative duties, including regulatory agency review preparation, cost containment strategies, and unit staffing coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a bachelor's degree in nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an associate's degree in nursing with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Applicable certification based on specialty
- 2 years of experience preferred in a procedural area
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in that service line
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs
- Occasional to frequent standing & walking
- Occasional sitting
- Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
- Shift work
- Travel may be required
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years of experience preferred in a procedural area
