Operating Room Clinical Coordinator ASC

Job Summary
Oversee daily operating room operations by keeping cases on schedule, ensuring rooms and supplies are ready, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, vendor reps, SPD, and Materials Management to secure instruments and equipment for every case. Manage staffing assignments and lead the OR team by providing clear direction on tasks, timing, and staff release times. Maintain clinical and regulatory readiness through audits, quality checks, and required documentation for AAAHC and TJC. Jump in clinically to circulate, scrub, or cover the OR after 3 p.m. when needed. This role supports procedures ranging from ophthalmology to urology at the Kernersville Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in a critical care or healthcare equivalent setting
- Licensed as an RN in North Carolina
- Must have the ability to complete assignments required for Medicare, TJC/AAAHC and other required organizations
- Accuracy and attention to detail without compromise of patient care
- Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal, and telephone communication
- Experience in leadership roles
- Strong ethical and moral character references
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly WORD, Excel and Outlook
Desired Qualifications
- Past ASC/ leadership exp
- Bachelors Degree
- B.S. in Nursing or related field
- Prior ASC or OP suite experience with leadership responsibility
- ACLS and PALS certification
- Strong background in patient centric care
- Experience with facilitating education and training
- Proficiency in PowerPoint
