Operating Room Clinical Coordinator ASC

Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day Operating Room operations by keeping cases on schedule, ensuring rooms and supplies are ready, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, vendor reps, SPD, and Materials Management to secure instruments, equipment, and supplies for each case. Manage staffing and assignments while leading the OR team with clear direction on tasks and staff departure times. Maintain clinical and regulatory readiness through audits, quality checks, preference cards, tissue/specimen logs, and AAAHC preparation. Jump in clinically when needed, including circulating/scrubbing and covering the OR after 3 p.m. This full-time, day-shift role at Kernersville Ambulatory Surgery Center requires a licensed RN with at least three years of OR experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in a critical care or healthcare equivalent setting
- Licensed as an RN in North Carolina
- Must have the ability to complete assignments required for Medicare, TJC/AAAHC and other required organizations
- Accuracy and attention to detail without compromise of patient care
- Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal, and telephone communication
- Experience with facilitating education and training
- Strong ethical and moral character references
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly WORD, Excel and Outlook
- Experience in leadership roles
- Strong background in patient centric care
- Prior ASC or OP suite experience with leadership responsibility
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Past ASC/ leadership exp
- Bachelors Degree
- B.S. in Nursing or related field
- ACLS and PALS certification
- Proficiency in PowerPoint
