Operating Room Assistant

Decontaminate operating room suites between cases, disinfecting lights, furniture, floors, and soiled linen while managing blood and body fluids. Restock operating room supplies including needles, syringes, blankets, and positioning devices, maintaining appropriate PAR levels. Assist with patient positioning, transport, and preparation for procedures under the supervision of the Surgery Manager and Clinical Coordinator. Manage blood and body fluids, act as a runner for time-sensitive products like stat labs, and ensure effective room turnovers. Clean, disinfect, and sterilize equipment according to company standards, completing department logs and records. Promote a safe environment by identifying hazards, enforcing infection control practices, and adhering to fire and disaster safety procedures.
