Job Summary
Responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial properties. Key functions include performing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work, maintaining heating equipment, chillers, pumps, and air distribution systems. Responsibilities also involve regular inspections, preventive maintenance, emergency response, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role requires strong technical proficiency, initiative, flexibility, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy equipment and moving between properties.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
- Appropriate license/permit for trade as may be required, i.e. Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
- Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC’s depending on market licensure requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record with periodic checks.
- Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in operation, maintenance and basic repair of HVAC, boilers, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, water systems, etc.
- Knowledgeable in energy management systems, techniques and operations.
- Thorough knowledge in all building systems operations, maintenance and repair.
