Job Summary
Conduct hands-on preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety. Evaluate, train, and coach a workforce of Engineers and Maintenance Technicians while recognizing and mitigating risks across all activities. Implement operations and facilities strategies to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency across your geographic territory. Work in varied physical positions to access equipment components for extended periods, adapting to diverse environmental conditions including heat, cold, and night-time hours.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of skilled trades experience in commercial or industrial settings
- EPA 608 Universal Certification (or willingness to obtain within 120 days of employment)
- Ability to analyse the operation of commercial or industrial mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, determine causes of problems or malfunctions, and take corrective action
- Proficiency in using computers and software programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook for documentation and communication
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Physical capabilities to lift 80 lbs, work at heights, and in confined spaces
- Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall
- Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills that enable effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC
- EL07/Journeyman License or equivalent certification
