Job Summary
Responsible for efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems. Key duties include performing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks; maintaining heating and cooling equipment; conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance; responding to emergency situations; and documenting activities. Requires 5+ years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or GED, and knowledge in energy management and building systems. Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good record and may need specific trade licenses.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting
- Knowledgeable in energy management systems, techniques and operations
- Experience in operation, maintenance, and basic repair of HVAC, boilers, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, water systems
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of apprentice program or trade school preferred
- Appropriate license/permit for trade as may be required, such as Journeyman or Master Electrician License
- Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC’s depending on market licensure requirements
- Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Thorough knowledge in all building systems operations, maintenance, and repair
