Job Summary
Operate CNC machines, lathes, grinders, milling machines, drill presses, and shapers to manufacture components by reading part drawings and setting up tool room equipment. Perform repairs and maintain manufacturing equipment through preventive, emergency, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities while documenting all tasks. Conduct quality inspections, apply high standards of workmanship, and support equipment uptime via failure analysis. Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental protocols by using personal protective equipment, reporting hazards, and engaging in HSE training. Maintain clean work areas and participate in continuous improvement and Total Productive Maintenance teams to reduce manufacturing constraints.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand part drawings
- Ability to work safely with electricity and other energy sources
- Ability to run all tool room equipment including Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machines, lathes, grinders, milling machines, drill presses and shapers
- Ability to use measuring devices
- Ability to layout work
- Ability to set up of tool room machines
- Ability to build or fabricate details
- Ability to assemble as needed
- Ability to repair and maintain manufacturing equipment
- Ability to perform and document preventive, emergency, corrective and predictive maintenance activities
- Ability to maintain clean and orderly work area
- Ability to identify and reduce manufacturing constraints
- Ability to schedule maintenance activities around production requirements
- Ability to solve problems
- Ability to improve processes
- Ability to participate in continuous improvement activities
- Ability to communicate effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams
- Ability to complete training and personal development in line with business requirements
- Ability to participate actively with local Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams
