Job Summary
Opening Lifeguard position at West Suburban YMCA, Newton, MA. Maintains active surveillance of the pool area and proactively prevents injuries; responds to emergencies per YMCA policies; completes incident/accident reports; presents a professional demeanor in uniform; supports DEIB and inclusion initiatives; fosters positive relationships with members and staff; performs equipment checks, chemical checks, and ensures proper pool operation; attends staff meetings and training; willing to take on additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age 16 years old
- Certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid and Emergency Oxygen
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguard or equivalent
- Ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness
- Lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards
