Job Summary
Open to New Graduates with Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant credentials. The role involves performing physical assessments, reviewing medical history, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing effective treatment. Responsibilities include conducting preventive health screenings, educating patients and families about conditions and follow-up, maintaining comprehensive patient records, performing specialty care procedures as approved by departmental guidelines, identifying opportunities to improve inpatient and outpatient specialty care, and performing other duties as assigned in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Requires a master's degree in Nursing or in Physician Assistant studies, North Carolina licenses for NP/PA (or RN + Nurse Midwife as applicable), board certification within 1 year of hire, CPR/BLS, NRP for neonatal practice, and DEA registration; 40-hour work week, Monday–Friday, with no weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree Nursing or Master’s degree Physician Assistant studies
- NC RN and Nurse Midwife or NP license OR NC PA license
- Board Certified within 1 year of date of hire by NCCPA for PA or ANCC/NCCB/AANP/PNCB for NP
- BLS (CPR) Certification (American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Certification for Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers
- IVC Certification within 90 days of employment for Behavioral Health AP
- Current, unrestricted DEA registration
- PA license or NP license in North Carolina
- Ability to perform physical assessments, review medical history, interpret diagnostic tests, provide treatment
- Experience with inpatient and outpatient care settings
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Proven record of maintaining accurate patient records
- Willingness to meet schedule (Mon-Fri, no weekends)
- Ability to perform specialty care medical procedures as needed
