Job Summary
Open-Source Analyst (Active Secret Clearance Required) position on-site in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on finding and analyzing open-source content (CAI/PAI, AdTech, and related datasets) to support customer missions, including data-driven strategies, collection planning, and rapid intelligence responses. Requires DoD Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS, a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, and hands-on experience in data science, data mining, and information analysis. Strong emphasis on internet-based research, Boolean logic, link/nodal analysis, and the ability to brief senior leaders and produce technical write-ups.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Intelligence Studies, Information Analysis, Computer Science or related technical field and 2+ years relevant work experience, OR Degree waived with 8+ years’ experience in Intelligence or Information Analysis, Data Science, Data Mining, Analytical Research, or equivalent
- Hands on experience in Data Science, Data Mining, Intelligence or Information Analysis, Analytical Research, or Ubiquitous Technical Surveillance (UTS)
- Experience with link/nodal analysis, including developing collection plans and risk assessments
- Background and knowledge in supporting DoW Service Components, preferably US Army
- In-depth experience of internet-based research, advanced search algorithms, including Boolean logic, and search engines
- Knowledge of internet sources, including social media, social networking tools, data exploitation, and commercial- and industry-based databases
- Industry experience with data science, analytics, machine learning, algorithm analysis, and data clustering
- Ability to communicate and brief senior leaders with technical aptitude
- Ability to provide rapid intelligence responses
- Ability to write technical products
- Strong knowledge and experience with data querying and aggregation
- Strong analytical research skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
