Job Summary
Teach broadly in Pathology and Pathophysiology across a 2-year preclinical curriculum, preparing learning objectives, lecture materials, and assessment questions for osteopathic students. Collaborate with basic and clinical science educators to coordinate horizontal and vertical integration within organ/system-based courses, while actively contributing to the creation of educationally appropriate assessments and clinical case presentations. Mentor and advise medical students in academic and curricular matters, implementing effective remediation experiences as needed. Participate in administrative duties on institutional and departmental committees, engage in scholarly activities, and support technological platforms linking course content, activities, and assessments. This role focuses on educating students without hospital or clinical laboratory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years of teaching experience
- Experience in teaching Pathology/Pathophysiology
- A terminal degree in Pathology or Pathophysiology
- e. g. DO, MD or PhD
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- pass a criminal background check
