Job Summary
Teach courses in the Residency Programs and provide leadership, management, and administrative oversight to the National College of Education, including faculty workload management, curriculum, assessment, scheduling, and technology development. Coordinate and lead supervisors by overseeing field-based requirements, assigning supervisors, and ensuring compliance during the school year. Engage in management and partnership coordination with external stakeholders to ensure program design meets employer needs, while contributing to curriculum development, program improvement, and evaluation. Support University marketing and enrollment management processes, and fulfill faculty duties in research, scholarship, service, and professional development. This full-time 10-month administrative faculty position is based at the Chicago campus with flexibility to teach across Chicagoland locations.
Required Qualifications
- Position will be based out of the Chicago (IL) Campus
- some flexibility to teach/visit all of our Chicagoland campuses depending on need
- Possess an earned doctorate in Education, or a related field
- preference given to expertise in teacher preparation
- Candidates who will likely be able to successfully defend their dissertation within a reasonable amount of time after hire may also be considered
- Have experience in conducting applied research in classrooms/school/district settings
- higher education teaching experience commensurate with rank
- Have leadership experience in education settings
- Model excellence in teaching with a strong foundation in implementing innovations including service delivery models for specialists, multidisciplinary teaming, consultation, program leadership and evaluation
- Demonstrate experience and skill in both face-to-face and online teaching with adult learners
