Job Summary
Lead the Physician Assistant Program's admissions process, oversee student success and remediation, and coordinate summative assessments while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. Teach didactic courses, facilitate small group discussions, and monitor clinical rotation sites through site visits and performance documentation. Develop and evaluate the curriculum, design remediation plans for students, and provide mentorship to support academic progression and retention. Collaborate with the Program Director on strategic program evolution and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in a field related to physician assistant practice or the education of physician assistant students
- Currently certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Washington
- A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a practicing clinician
- Experience in PA education (e.g., lecturer, preceptor, or core PA faculty member)
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with standard computer applications (e.g., word processing, email, spreadsheets, databases)
- Knowledge of legislative, regulatory, legal, and practice issues affecting clinical education, students, and the physician assistant profession
