Job Summary
ICU nurses are responsible for assessing and identifying patient needs, implementing appropriate interventions, and establishing a plan for nursing care. They ensure nursing care interventions are directed to resolve patient problems and perform technical care competently. Strong critical thinking skills are essential as they guide families and patients through critical care stages. Experienced Cardiac or Open Heart Nurses are eligible for a sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Active Kentucky License
- BCLS Required within 90 days
- ACLS required within six months for experienced staff nurses
- ACLS required within one year for new graduate nurses
