Job Summary
Operate and maintain vertical form fill seal (VFFS) packaging equipment on the 2nd shift. Perform startup checks, machine setup, testing, and adjustments to meet finished pouch quality specifications. Conduct front-line preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment failures, and disassemble/clean/sanitize packaging and support equipment per documented procedures. Ensure compliance with GMP, Food Safety, and Safety standards; apply safe lockout procedures during cleaning or maintenance; log hourly results against efficiency targets; monitor material and packaging to meet customer specifications; learn SAP for system navigation; maintain clean work areas and contribute to teamwork and production efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years manufacturing experience
- 2nd shift availability
- ability to operate vertical form fill seal (VFFS) packaging equipment
- ability to perform setup, changeover, and basic troubleshooting
- SAP familiarity (learn)
- GMP and food safety knowledge
- physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds
