Onsite Technical Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate directly with customer mechanical, refrigeration, electrical, manufacturing, quality, production, procurement, and project teams to serve as the day-to-day technical link between the U.S. site and the engineering team in India. Translate requirements, design changes, and production feedback into clear assignments, collect shop-floor data including measurements and redlines, and manage technical communication to resolve issues. Review drawings, models, and schematics for manufacturability, support troubleshooting during fabrication and field service, and maintain project schedules, issue logs, and status updates across time zones. Travel twice a year. This role supports a recognized leader in engineering solutions, sourcing, and Asian market entry services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, industrial, mechatronics, or a related engineering field; equivalent engineering-technology experience may be considered.
- two or more years of experience in engineering, refrigeration/HVAC, industrial equipment, manufacturing, automation, or technical project coordination.
- Strong hands-on mechanical and electro-mechanical aptitude with the ability to work effectively on the manufacturing floor.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, problem-solving, and project-management skills.
- Ability to work independently at the customer site and coordinate meetings across U.S. and India time zones.
- Experience working with global engineering teams and preferably teams in India.
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of commercial or industrial refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, heat exchangers, pumps, piping, valves, and controls.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, refrigeration piping diagrams, P&IDs, electrical schematics, panel layouts, equipment layouts, specifications, and bills of material.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or SolidWorks Electrical is preferred.
- Understanding of refrigeration and HVAC fundamentals, heat transfer, fluid flow, system component selection, and basic troubleshooting. Familiarity with CO2, ammonia, halocarbon, chilled-water, rack, distributed, or chiller systems is preferred.
- Working knowledge of electrical controls, ladder logic, PLC-based systems, variable-frequency drives, panel wiring, and system testing is preferred.
- Experience in a custom manufacturing environment, including design-for-manufacturability, quality checks, engineering changes, fabrication/assembly support, and root-cause problem solving.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, project-tracking tools, and ERP/document-control systems.
