Job Summary
Provide consecutive in-person, first-person interpretation for clients in the Houston, TX metro area while adhering to Propio Language Services' protocols, confidentiality policies, and strict HIPAA, FERPA, and GLBA standards. Maintain positive interactions with patients, customers, healthcare providers, and clinical staff while continuously expanding vocabulary and subject matter expertise across medical, legal, and social services domains. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including updated vaccination documentation and background checks, to support our mission of closing the language gap through innovative technology and solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of interpreting experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Intermediate level computer skills
- Access to reliable transportation
- Ability to provide documentation of updated vaccinations to include but not limited to (dependent of location, federal and local regulations and business policies for healthcare and others): TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B (or declination), TDAP and Seasonal Influenza (Flu) and Covid
- Successful completion of a drug test and Background Check & Security Screen
- A signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance
