Job Summary
Onsite Spanish Interpreter in Cincinnati, OH. Contract role providing consecutive in-person interpretation and remote interpretation via phone and video. Responsibilities include following interpreter protocols, maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA/FERPA/GLBA, delivering quality service to patients and healthcare providers, and continually improving subject-matter knowledge for medical/legal/social services client needs. Requirements include updated English resume, high school diploma or GED, intermediate computer skills, reliable transportation, vaccination documentation as applicable, and successful drug and background checks. Preferred qualifications include 1+ year interpreting experience and adherence to professional interpreting standards (NCIHC/IMIA/CHIA).
Required Qualifications
- Submission of updated Resume in English at time of Application
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Intermediate level computer skills
- Access to reliable transportation
- Ability to provide documentation of updated vaccinations (TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B or declination, TDAP, Seasonal Influenza, Covid)
- Successful completion of a drug test and Background Check & Security Screen
- A signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance
