Onsite Solutions Specialist

Job Summary
Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and network issues for end-users at client sites or in call centers. Act as an onsite representative, interacting personably with users, relaying discovered issues to internal teams to ensure ticket creation, and providing technical assistance when necessary. Mentor less experienced technicians by clearly communicating solutions in a user-friendly manner and involving senior staff on complex problems. Follow defined procedures to address recurring tasks while communicating all project aspects to supervisors. This role requires frequent and extended travel, including overnight stays, with variable hours that may include evenings, weekends, and long-distance driving.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced understanding of desktop operating systems, various software applications, and PC/Server/Network hardware
- Intermediate understanding of principles and theories of network systems and management
- Advanced understanding of Internet technologies and products
- Advanced understanding of electrical safety procedures
- At least two years of technical work experience or equivalent education
- At least two relevant technical certifications (e.g. A+, Network+ and Security+) or equivalent experience
- A demonstrated propensity towards and proficiency with customer end-user interaction
- Must occasionally lift and move up to 80 pounds
- Must be available for evening, overnight, or weekend work
- Frequent and extended travel is expected
- Use of personal phone through Multi-factor authentication is required
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's (or higher) degree in a computer science-related field
- Four or more years of technical work experience
- Four or more relevant technical certifications (e.g., A+, Network+, and Security+)
