Onsite Safety Coordinator

Job Summary
Conduct weekly safety inspections, document findings, and submit reports while continuously monitoring jobsite safety practices to address unsafe conditions immediately. Enforce OSHA regulations, customer safety programs, and company safety policies by leading Toolbox Talks, Stretch & Flex sessions, and daily JSA meetings in an engaging, interactive way. Collaborate with Superintendents and Safety leadership to implement corrective actions, ensure proper PPE use, and report injuries or incidents within required timeframes. Assist with scheduling safety training, maintain compliance records, and stock safety supplies while communicating expectations clearly in both English and Spanish. This active, field-based role requires traveling regularly between jobsites, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and physically navigating active construction areas.
Required Qualifications
- Fully bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Ability to confidently communicate in multiple languages in the field
- Willingness to travel regularly between jobsites
- Flexibility with work hours and based on job and project needs
- Experience in safety coordination, construction safety, or a related field
- Knowledge in OSHA standards and general construction safety practices
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while staying organized and detail oriented
- Comfort documenting findings and using basic technology (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments
- Comfortable physically navigating active construction areas
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the workday
- Ability to move between different areas of large, active jobsites
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and navigate uneven terrain
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach as needed to inspect work areas
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, and rain
- Ability to wear required PPE at all times (hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, work boots, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry safety materials or equipment (up to 40 lbs. as needed)
