The Release of Information Specialist II handles medical ROI requests by inputting data into Verisma Software, organizing records, and ensuring accurate, confidential processing. Responsibilities include processing ROI requests, interpreting medical records and forms, providing exemplary customer service in person, by phone, and via email, and adhering to HIPAA and state regulations. The role requires attention to detail, independent work capability, and participation in training, with a focus on compliance and Verisma-guided workflows; supports the operation of the ROI department and promotes Verisma values. Location is Pasco, WA, with in-person duties.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of medical record experience
- 2+ years of experience completing clerical or office work
- Experience using Verisma software applications
- Knowledge or familiarity with HIPAA and state regulations related to the release of Protected Health Information (preferred)
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be detail oriented
