Job Summary
Onsite Release of Information Specialist I (ROIS I) processes medical ROI requests using Verisma Software, reads and interprets medical records and authorizations, and ensures HIPAA-compliant handling of Protected Health Information. The role supports timely and accurate ROI workflow, maintains confidentiality, and provides exemplary customer service in person, by phone, and via email. Training participation, adherence to Verisma values, and collaboration with the Manager of Operations (Release of Information) are expected, with duties expanding as needed to ensure efficient department operation.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of medical record experience
- 2+ years of clerical or office work
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations related to release of Protected Health Information (preferred)
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be detail oriented
