Job Summary
The ROIS processes medical ROI requests using Verisma software, reads medical records and authorizations, ensures HIPAA compliance and confidentiality, organizes records to complete the ROI process, and provides exemplary customer service in person, on the phone and via email at a Verisma client site in Clyde, NC. Responsibilities include handling ROI requests, utilizing Verisma applications, training attendance, and supporting the overall ROI workflow under the supervision of the Manager of Operations, Release of Information.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of medical record experience
- 2+ years of experience completing clerical or office work
- Experience using general office equipment including desktop computer, scanner, Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
- Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations related to the release of Protected Health Information (preferred)
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be detail oriented
