Onsite Property Manager

Job Summary

Oversee daily property operations for an affordable housing community, including resident relations, leasing, maintenance coordination, and regulatory compliance. Manage onsite staff through recruitment, training, performance reviews, and biweekly timekeeping while ensuring adherence to Fair Housing laws and program requirements. Review monthly financial reports, oversee rent collection, and coordinate audits and site visits. Maintain accurate resident files and respond to emergencies, occasionally working evenings, weekends, and holidays. This onsite role includes a rent-free two-bedroom apartment and fully paid health benefits.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of affordable housing management experience
  • Two years of experience managing employees, projects, materials, or information
  • LIHTC and HUD rental property experience
  • Working knowledge of Fair Housing laws
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and assist with property budgeting
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar property management software
  • Ability to maintain a consistent schedule and respond occasionally during evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable transportation for local travel

Desired Qualifications

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Fair Housing certification
  • Experience with supportive housing, Housing First principles, or special-needs populations
  • Experience working with veterans
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
  • At least one year of affordable housing management experience and two years of experience managing employees, projects, materials, or information preferred
  • Working knowledge of Fair Housing laws; Fair Housing certification strongly preferred
  • Experience with supportive housing, Housing First principles, or special-needs populations preferred
  • Experience working with veterans is a plus
