Job Summary
Conduct initial consultations to assess physical conditions and diagnose movement dysfunctions using evidence-based practices. Develop tailored treatment plans, instruct patients on therapeutic exercises, and administer modalities like stimulation and massage. Assist patients with rehabilitation equipment such as wheelchairs and walkers while maintaining comprehensive records and adjusting care plans. Advise patients and families on in-home treatment options and preventative care strategies. This role supports children, adults, and the elderly recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions like arthritis and stroke. Candidates must hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and a valid Virginia license.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and their families
- Proficiency in computer skills for maintaining patient records and using health management software
- A flexible approach to work, showing agility in adapting to the varied environments of home care
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy role
