Job Summary
Conduct prelicensure clinical instruction and mentor students during onsite 2-3 overnight shifts (7pm - 7am) for the 3-week clinical rotation, with flexibility for day shifts as enrollment dictates. Provide final review and approval for student clinical time, submit electronic evaluation forms, and communicate progress with assigned coaches and preceptors. Ensure students succeed within clinical placements by making appropriate referrals and utilizing technology-based platforms to support competency development. Maintain current knowledge in the field, comply with state regulations, and collaborate with the Health Placement Team to secure clinical partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing
- Two years minimum Nursing experience
- Work history demonstrating continuous advancement and success in roles requiring creative problem solving and collaboration
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Active, unencumbered license in designated state
- Ability to work onsite 2-3 overnight shifts (7pm - 7am) during the 3-week clinical rotation
- Flexibility for day shift as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to work well under stress and meet deadlines
- Capacity for self-motivation and working independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate, or terminal degree in a specific content area
- Strong experience with distance education and distance learning students
- Terminal degree and all applicable licenses or certifications
- Prior experience in clinical teaching/nursing education
- As needed, support the Health Placement Team to secure clinical partnerships
