Job Summary
Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis, accurately identify and label samples, and pack and ship them to testing facilities. Communicate effectively with client office staff to resolve customer and specimen problems while scrubbing requisitions to ensure missing items are updated. Perform spinning, freezing, and splitting services as needed based on client requirements. Enter patient information accurately and timely to meet department activity and production goals. Handle biological specimens with care, lift up to 40 lbs, and maintain a clean driving record. Work Monday through Friday in rotating shifts at Western Suburbs locations, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED or equivalent
- Valid Drivers License and clean driving record
- Be at least 21 years' old
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- This position requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Subject to applicable law, all prospective hires will need to provide proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for medical or religious accommodations
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Able to lift up to 40lbs
- Proficient in MS Office
