Job Summary
Onsite Irrigation Technician maintains irrigation and sprinkler systems for the Hunter’s Green community common areas in New Tampa. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing irrigation issues across the property; replacing and adjusting sprinkler heads (spray, rotor, drip); repairing leaks in lines, valves, and fittings; troubleshooting electrical issues (solenoids, wiring, controllers); running zones and identifying coverage zones and mismatches; adjusting heads for proper alignment and function; performing routine walk-throughs to catch issues early; keeping the irrigation master pump running and maintaining the pump area clear of vegetation and debris; reporting larger or recurring issues to management; and following routine verbal and written instructions. Requires knowledge of manual and/or computerized irrigation systems and the ability to read gauges and follow safety procedures; physical ability to stand/walk, climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, and work varying schedules including evenings, weekends, and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to install, operate, troubleshoot, and repair manual and/or computerized irrigation systems
- Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
- Ability to perform irrigation tasks such as operate timers, clocks, and controls for sprinklers
- Knowledge of manual and/or computerized irrigation systems
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods; ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as required
