Job Summary
Teach and mentor students in experiential clinical coursework within onsite and remote environments, providing specialized instruction on challenging clinical topics. Oversee student learning in both group and one-on-one settings, ensuring success within clinical placements by reviewing and approving clinical time, making referrals for remediation, and communicating with assigned coaches regarding progress. Submit electronic clinical evaluations, utilize technology-based platforms to aid competency development, and respond urgently to changing student needs and short deadlines. Maintain current knowledge of state regulations and foster a student-obsessed atmosphere through innovative teaching practices. Work 3 weekdays (24 hours/week) as a part-time faculty member in the Central Florida region.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing
- Education is verified
- Two years minimum Nursing experience
- Work history demonstrating continuous advancement and success in roles requiring creative problem solving and collaboration
- Unencumbered RN license
- Active, unencumbered license in designated state
- State and federal legislative requirements and college accreditation requirements
- Ability to work 3 weekdays (24hrs/week)
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to work well under stress and meet deadlines
- Capacity for self-motivation and working independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Aptitude for learning innovative technology

- Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of relevant state regulations
- Conducts both in-person and/remote methods of student evaluation
- Terminal degree and all applicable licenses or certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate, or terminal degree in a specific content area
- Strong experience with distance education and distance learning students
- Prior experience in clinical teaching/nursing education
