Job Summary
Oversee legal medical records, record completion, release of information, and documentation compliance while ensuring medical record integrity and regulatory adherence. Manage a large HIM team, drive process improvement initiatives, partner with IT on EHR optimization, and serve as the primary HIM liaison across the organization. This role supports e4health's mission to streamline clinical, financial, and health information data for over 400 hospitals nationwide.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information or related field
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience as a Supervisor, Manager, or Director
- Strong knowledge of: HIM operations HIPAA, CMS, Joint Commission, and regulatory compliance
- Release of Information (ROI) and legal medical records
- Documentation compliance
- EHR implementation/optimization
- Medical record integrity
- Budgeting, staffing, productivity, and operational management
- General knowledge of coding
Desired Qualifications
- Acute care hospital experience strongly preferred
