Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions by assessing mobility, range of motion, strength, and function to formulate treatment plans based on physician orders. Develop individualized treatment programs that reflect patient goals while employing evidence-based practices and specialized therapeutic techniques to promote recovery. Maintain precise documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines. Supervise and mentor Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and support personnel, ensuring adherence to best practices while optimizing patient care. Engage with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to coordinate comprehensive care plans for patients. Submit a resume and cover letter detailing relevant experience and fit for the role.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- A current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills for documentation and use of therapy-related software
