Job Summary
Onsite Director of Facilities role overseeing planning, organization, and direction of building and common-area maintenance for Fairbanks Ranch communities. Responsibilities include budget preparation/management, administration/contract negotiations (landscape, lake, dam management; RFPs and vendor proposals), board/manager communications, supervision of maintenance staff, safety and OSHA compliance, pesticide safety training, Dam Emergency Action Plan coordination, and development of preventative maintenance programs for building, roads, lakes, and landscape. Must coordinate with General Manager and Board, be available for on-call emergencies, and ensure insurance compliance with vendors. Requires bilingual English-Spanish, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, and facility-management experience. Certifications such as CFM/FMP are a plus; QAL certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 90 days. Salary range: $80,000 to $100,000 yearly, with full benefits; location: Rancho Santa Fe, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Facility maintenance office management experience required
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, on-call, and overtime as required
- Must be bilingual (English-Spanish)
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and supervise maintenance staff
- Experience with landscape, lake management, and building systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a California qualified applicator license in aquatics (QAL) or willingness to obtain within specified timeframe
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- CFM and FMP certifications are a plus
- QAL certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days of start date
