Job Summary
Onsite AV Service Support Technician at Diversified in Boston, MA. The role sits at the intersection of client-facing AV support and internal service delivery, handling onsite maintenance and support of AV equipment, inventory management, and coordination with project/design teams to ensure client rooms and systems meet specifications. Responsibilities include providing elevated AV, Broadcast, and UC support; developing customer relationships for loyalty; managing hardware and inventory for the Content Management system; troubleshooting and documenting performance; escalating issues through Global Service Center and engineers/manufacturers; maintaining detailed support documentation; and coaching less-experienced teammates. Requires professional communication, experience with corporate or high-level events is a plus, and the position is full-time permanent with a daily onsite presence at a client site in Boston. Skills in Zoom, Teams, Crestron/Extron, Shure, Cisco, and related AV/networking tools, plus strong problem-solving and maintaining customer-focused service, are highlighted.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with a wide range of audio, video and networking systems and equipment, including but not limited to Zoom, Teams, WebEx, Polycom, Logitech, DTEN, Crestron/Extron, Shure, Cisco, Brightsign/Appspace content management
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Ability to think independently and make informed decisions
- Possess basic to advanced networking skills
- Good verbal communication skills and good customer service skills
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
