Job Summary
Onsite ASL Interpreter role in Providence, RI. Provides consecutive in-person interpretation and virtually via phone and video remote for Propio Language Services clients, following interpreter protocols and maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Responsibilities include establishing quality service with patients and healthcare providers, and continuously improving vocabulary for various clients (medical, legal, social services, etc.). Requires strong language skills, basic computer ability, reliable transportation, and compliance with vaccination requirements; drug test and background check required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Intermediate level computer skills
- Access to reliable transportation
- Ability to provide documentation of updated vaccinations (TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B or declination, TDAP, Flu, Covid as applicable)
- Successful completion of a drug test and Background Check & Security Screen
- A signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance
- Must be at least 18 years of age
