Job Summary
Onsite 2nd Shift Team Lead responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operation of the onsite by-product management system at the facility, supervising shift employees, training others, and providing coverage for the Shift Supervisor. Requires knowledge of sorting and processing, operation of powered industrial equipment, and adherence to EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations. Responsibilities include performing waste/by-product sorting and processing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, operating forklifts and related equipment, ensuring health and safety compliance, participating in spill response, and maintaining effective client relations with site personnel. Strong emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance, equipment operation, and coaching/mentoring team members to meet service and quality goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School or Equivalent Education
- 2 years of previous supervisory experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of EPA, DOT and OSHA regulations preferred
- Ability to understand general industry practices
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment
- Computer program knowledge required (Microsoft Word & Excel)
