Job Summary
Online Science Teacher responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering individualized online science instruction using provided curriculum, instructional resources, and technology. Will provide meaningful feedback via the LMS, deliver virtual instructional sessions, prepare supplemental learning materials, welcome new students within one business day, guide students in goal setting and progress monitoring, collaborate with the Academic Coach, parents, and students to assign courses of study, personalize curriculum with department colleagues, foster a respectful learning environment, establish learning objectives and content standards, monitor student progress in SIS, administer and grade assessments with feedback/retries for mastery, maintain student records, and communicate with students and parents at least weekly. Requires ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, work remotely, travel as needed for job duties, and possess strong customer service focused approach toward student achievement. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and teaching experience; online teaching experience is preferred. This is a remote position.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Teaching experience required
- Experience teaching in online learning environments
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Valid State Teaching Credential is preferred but not required
