Job Summary
E-commerce/Online Sales Associate supporting the Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi's in-store and online operations. Responsibilities include picking, packaging, weighing, and preparing items for shipment sold online; entering book descriptions and prices into the software system; posting items to ShopGoodwill; processing donations and evaluating value of books and media; providing excellent customer service; maintaining a clean, organized processing area; assisting with inventory security and reporting suspicious activity; and supporting various duties across the ecommerce department as needed. Must market Goodwill’s mission, communicate clearly in English, and have basic to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office). Requires high school graduate or equivalent, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and valid Mississippi driver’s license. Flexible hours and regular attendance essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- six months to one year of related retail experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- basic to intermediate computer experience, including working knowledge of e-commerce businesses, as well software programs such as Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
- previous experience writing online auctions and/or an understanding of collectibles such as antiques, brand names, and other items of value, preferred
- valid Mississippi driver’s license
- ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- strong communication skills in English
