Job Summary
Provide exceptional virtual care, including patient assessments, medical history reviews, and appropriate medical treatment. Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while ordering lab tests and prescribing medications (excluding controlled substances except buprenorphine). Collaborate with nurse practitioners and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care and maintain appropriate medical documentation. Stay up to date with medical advancements and telehealth best practices. Complete applicable training, including buprenorphine certification, during onboarding. Schedule at least 15 core hours weekly (8AM-6PM locally) across four days, with assistance provided for obtaining state licenses. Join a network expanding access to addiction treatment and general telehealth services in underserved communities.
Required Qualifications
- Active medical license in at least three U.S. states
- Willingness to obtain additional state licenses
- Critical to be licensed in at least five states
- Licensed in at least one of the following states: CA, FL, NC, PA, TX
- Experience treating patients in telehealth or high-volume in-person settings
- Ability to schedule and work at least 15 core hours weekly
- Work 8AM-6PM locally
- Work over four days each week
- Schedule at least one week in advance
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to medical excellence
- Comfort using telemedicine platforms
- Comfort using EMRs
- At least one DEA certification
- Applicable CSL (if required)
