Job Summary
Independent-contract 1099 role for an online Mental Health Counselor. Provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, or families via a secure telehealth platform, with autonomous scheduling, full clinical autonomy, and responsibility for intake assessments, treatment planning, progress notes, and billing-support-free administration. Must hold an active, unrestricted license (e.g., LCSW/LMFT/LPCC/LPC/LMHC/PsyD/PhD) and maintain malpractice insurance. Remote work from home is supported with no minimum hours and potential for high earnings based on client load; includes ongoing access to a HIPAA-compliant video platform and an integrated EHR for documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted license to practice therapy in your state (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, LPC, LMHC, PsyD, or PhD)
- Cannot accept associate-level or provisionally licensed clinicians
- Malpractice insurance for professional liability
- Experience with telehealth software and secure internet connection
- Ability to work independently with ethical and professional standards
- Ability to maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation (intake notes, progress notes) in an EHR system
- Set own schedule and manage calendar via telehealth platform
